Growing in Grief

Oct 28, 2026
Today is the 2nd anniversary of my mom's passing. I am still in shock, grief and disbelief that she is gone.
The following words from "Jealous of the Angels" by Donna Taggart seem fitting:

I didn't know today would be our lastOr that I'd have to say goodbye to you so fastI'm so numb, I can't feel anymorePrayin' you'd just walk back through that door
And tell me that I was only dreamin'You're not really gone as long as I believe
There will be another angelAround the throne tonightYour love lives on inside of meAnd I will hold on tightIt's not my place to questionOnly God knows whyI'm just jealous of the angelsAround the throne tonight
You always made my troubles feel so smallAnd you were always there to catch me when I'd fallIn a world where heroes come and goWell God just took the only one I knowSo I'll hold you as close as I canLonging for the day, when I see your face againBut until then
God must need another angelAround the throne tonightYour love lives on inside of meAnd I will hold on tightIt's not my place to questionOnly God knows whyI'm just jealous of the angelsAround the throne tonight
Singin' hallelujahHallelujahHallelujahI'm just jealous of the angelsAround the throne tonight

If you have lost a loved one, I share with you the depth of grief represents the heights of your love.
Sending healing thoughts to you,
Dr. Chris.nd
